Description

Thundarr, Ariel, and Ookla encounter a tribe of orphans with a mysterious, lost treasure that leaves a trace of itself even after it’s gone. Ariel decides that the treasure can be found in the past. Bringing them into contact with evil wizard Sabian, Ariel’s stepfather who enslaved thundarr and Ookla. The trio are captured! Sabian locks Ariel and Ookla in the slaves’ dungeon. He tries to make an example of thundarr by marooning him in the past with no way of returning home to complete the quest.

The plot backfires when Thundarr arrives in modern-day Los Angeles where he meets Andy Simmons and her fiancé, Tarl Barlot. Tarl offers the barbarian warrior lodging at his apartment, with him and his adopted brother, while Andy helps thundarr on his quest. She also loans him the use of her own time machine to return to the future.
