About Sheila

Sheila Shillingburg
I’m Sheila Shillingburg, 51, from Beaver County, Pennsylvania. I’m currently a pharmacy tech at CVS/pharmacy in Wexford, Pa. I’m a 1-year survivor of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I graduated Ambridge high school in 1990, and have a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University.
I started writing writing in high school. My two cousins, Christopher and Jason janicki, and would write plays based on popular cartoons of the day - Transformers, GIJOE, then record them. I think it was a contest between us to see how many characters from the cast list got virtually no lines.
I started writing Monkees fan fiction after the movies Back to the Future; Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. The idea was girls from the future, the 80s, traveling in time to the 60s and joining the band. I had been the character of Andy Simmons, except my character got married and started a family. I admit I went a little haywire in college. When my uncle told grandma it was a “cult following,” she thought it meant I joined a cult! She went crazy and threw everything away!
